What format you want?

VHS - The old standby. Remember that VHS will eventually break down. ITEM, Inc. recommends transfer to S-VHS, D8 or DV to preserve the quality for future generations and transfer to more permanent formats such as Video CD or DVD.

DV – If your movies, like mine, have a lot of uninteresting scenes, flubs and shots of the floor or sky - edit them out. The DV format can be transferred to an editing computer. Only the best scenes can be saved to DVD or Video CD. We will also rent you a machine and train you to do it yourself. You can hire one of our editing experts to do the work for you. Transfer the finished tape back to DV. We will make your video CD or DVD.

Video CD – Play your home movies on your computer with a self-running interface. Interactive buttons send you to scenes on the CD. Your whole tape is transferred. Great for finished (edited) tapes like your Wedding Day, Baby’s First Birthday, etc. Make additional copies as family gifts.

DVD – Play your movies in all their digital glory (High quality MPEG-2 format). Plays on most DVD players and DVD-ROM equipped computers. Make additional copies as family gifts.

Foreign Conversions - Transfer your family memories to PAL or SECAM to share with relatives from other countries. Make additional copies as family gifts.
